Hello! I’m Jess, an independent consultant with extensive experience across startup engagement, venture investment, and large scale innovation projects in both private and public sector.
I bring positive energy and a collaborative nature, and I am happy to deliver independently or operate as part of a project team.
My Story
Originally from California, I have enjoyed over 15 years experience across startup investment, corporate innovation, and advising the UK central government.
Throughout my journey, I’ve had the privilege of working with amazing entrepreneurs and forward-thinking organisations looking to drive innovation. I traveled extensively and worked across five continents, building and running Techstars accelerator programmes with corporates such as Barclays, Boeing, Equinor, and SAP to address global challenges.
As Director of Industry Innovation Ltd, I collaborate with both public and private sector to deliver high-impact innovation projects. My experience spans a wide variety of industries from housing to financial services to aerospace and defence, which allows me to transfer lessons between sectors wherever I go next. I am passionate about strengthening the UK's technology capabilities and driving innovation across industries where technology is not yet being fully leveraged.
As PropTech Strategist and Advisor with the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government, I played a pivotal role in establishing permanent innovation workstreams in the department. I launched and managed the PropTech Innovation Fund, the UK's largest ongoing Government PropTech Programme. I also worked with Ministerial offices, venture capital firms, and industry bodies to launch the UK's Minister-led PropTech Steering Board, ensuring continued engagement and learning from cutting-edge industry innovations.
I love working with a variety of stakeholders and enjoy the challenges that come with moving industries forward in unknown territories. I enjoy a diverse portfolio of engagements ranging from short and medium term consultancy projects to ongoing advisory roles.
